Do you want to work practically, contribute to a better environment, and be part of an engaged team? We are now looking for a waste technician for a well-established and modern waste facility. Here, you will play an important role in the sorting and treatment of materials – with a focus on quality, safety, and sustainability.

The recruitment and employment are handled by Simplex Bemanning. You will be employed by Simplex and hired out to our client.

About the Position

As a waste technician, you will work with ongoing sorting and treatment of materials coming from corporate clients and recycling centers. You will ensure that waste is handled correctly for material recycling, energy recovery, or disposal.

The work is performed with the help of machines such as:

• Wheel loader
• Material handler
• Forklift

You are an important part of creating a safe, efficient, and well-functioning facility – both for colleagues and visitors.

Your main responsibilities

• Sort and handle incoming materials according to applicable routines
• Ensure order and a safe working environment at the facility
• Perform daily checks and preventive maintenance of machines
• Report deviations and needs for service and repair
• Quality assure materials and identify incorrect sorting
• Contribute improvement and development proposals within the operation

We are looking for someone who has

Requirements:

• Wheel loader training for goods handling
• Forklift license A2–A4 and C2
• Driving license B
• High school education or equivalent
• Basic IT skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written)

Meritorious:

• Experience operating wheel excavators/material handlers
• Vocational certificate
• Knowledge of English
